We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team. The project we are onboarding for is a cloud platform offering a range of microservices focused on expanding its presence to new geographical locations.
We need you to help with the automation of the development processes and deployment pipelines, developing new services as part of the cloud services offering, and working with other engineers on a redeployment of the existing points of presence to new geo-locations. You’ll report to the Project Manager and CTO for all day-to-day operations-related tasks.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated deployment strategies that scale across multiple regions and environments.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate new technologies and services into the existing cloud platform.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployment of microservices.
- Optimize existing deployment processes to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
- Engage in hands-on configuration, management, and optimization of CDN, WAF, Edge Computing, and Serverless environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux systems, network configurations, and Internet networking technologies within a cloud computing context.
- Work closely with network engineers to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches (Juniper, Cisco, Arista).
- Administer and ensure the reliability and security of Nginx servers and SSL technologies.
- Develop tools and automated solutions to monitor performance metrics and alert systems using platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix.
- Collaborate on the design and maintenance of network operations dashboards, tooling, alarms, and playbooks to support service-level objectives.
Requirements
- Advanced skills in Python and Bash.
- Strong experience in monitoring platforms such as CDN, WAF, Edge Computing, and Serverless.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration (CentOS, RedHat Enterprise, Security, RPM Packaging).
- Experience with networking routers and switch equipment (Juniper, Cisco, Arista).
- Skilled in managing and troubleshooting Internet networking technologies such as DHCP, ARP, subnets, routing (BGP), and firewalls (IPTables and hardware).
- Strong experience in managing and troubleshooting DNS and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Nginx.
- Knowledge of load balancers and web accelerators (HAProxy, Varnish, etc).
- Strong understanding of SSL technologies, including certificates, handshakes, and ciphers.
- Experience with traffic analyzing tools (Catchpoint, Kentik, Cedexis...).
- Experience with CI/CD/CM tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef...).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU...).
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting platforms (Prometheus and Alertmanager, Grafana, Zabbix, and Nagios).
- Network Operations / Linux Platform Engineering background.
- Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken.
