IT Staff Augmentation
Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to the most common questions companies ask when deciding if staff augmentation is the right model for their team.

How quickly can you provide a shortlist of engineers?

If we already have bench-ready engineers who match your requirements, we can provide a shortlist within 48 to 72 hours.
If we need to recruit specifically for your project, the typical timeline is 2 to 3 weeks for standard roles and 3 to 4 weeks for highly specialized positions.
In both cases, we keep you updated throughout the process and share candidates as soon as they pass our internal screening.

What seniority levels and technologies do you typically offer?

We cover a wide range of technologies across backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps, cloud, QA, and data engineering.
Seniority levels include junior, mid, senior, and lead roles.
All engineers undergo technical screening, communication assessment, and background verification before they are presented to you.

How do you conduct technical evaluation and vetting?

Every candidate goes through a structured internal vetting process that includes:

  • technical interview with a senior engineer
  • practical coding or problem-solving test, if required
  • communication and soft-skill evaluation
  • verification of past experience and reference.

This ensures you meet only strong, relevant candidates.

Can clients interview candidates directly?

Yes.
After our internal screening, we arrange direct interviews with your team so you can assess alignment in skills, communication, and culture.
You become a part of the final selection step, and we simply streamline the process.

How does onboarding work when an engineer joins our team?

We support onboarding through a structured process that begins with HR-to-HR and Ops-to-Ops alignment meetings with your team. During these sessions, we review mutual procedures, expectations, communication rules, and present our internal modus operandi to ensure a smooth collaboration from day one.

After that, the engineer goes through a detailed onboarding checklist covering access, tooling, workflows, documentation, and all operational requirements. They integrate into your stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and communication channels exactly as an internal team member would.

Can we scale the team up or down during the engagement?

Yes.
One of the key advantages of staff augmentation is flexibility.
You can expand the team when your workload increases and scale down when projects slow, without the overhead of traditional hiring. We do need a contractual “heads-up” timeframe to be honored, however.

How do you track performance, communication, and delivery quality?

We manage performance through a structured, multi-role approach. Each team is supported by a Delivery Manager who oversees day-to-day output, communication quality, delivery predictability, and overall engineering performance.
An HR Business Partner ensures all HR processes, legal requirements, compliance procedures, and people-related matters are consistently maintained.
Additionally, a Success Manager is involved to make sure the partnership delivers long-term value, alignment, and results that exceed expectations.
Together, this ensures predictable delivery, continuous improvement, and a healthy, long-term working relationship.

How do you handle data security and compliance?

All engineers operate under strict security policies, VPN access, MFA, secure device management, and contractual NDAs.
We align with SOC2, GDPR, NIS2, and ISO 27001 standards, ensure proper access control, and follow your internal compliance rules as needed.

What is the difference between staff augmentation, outsourcing, and managed services?

Staff augmentation: you manage the engineers and roadmap; we provide talent and support.
Outsourcing: You hand over full ownership of the project; delivery is our responsibility.
Managed services: we operate an ongoing function for you (for example, monitoring or support).
Staff augmentation is ideal when you need to boost your existing team quickly without hiring full-time.

Do you work with companies that need just one engineer?

Yes.
Many long-term partnerships start with one engineer and scale over time.
We support both single-developer engagements and large distributed teams.

Still not sure if staff augmentation fits your team?

We can tell you in one short conversation whether this model will save you time and money or if you should choose something else.
