What is the first thought that comes to mind when you think of – Friday?
For us, Friday means excellent energy, good people, cold beer, tasty food, and chilling.
Well, this mix is exactly what happened last Friday in our office. For the first time, we had an #OpenDay. Everything started with an idea to open our doors for everyone who wants to find out more about what it is that we do, about the wonderful people of BlueGrid, their day-to-day activities, their roles, the technologies that we use, and the clients that we work with, as well.
Therefore, our idea was for young talented people to connect with each other at this event, exchange their experiences and learn everything they are interested in from the IT industry.
At the end of the day, we wanted them to leave with some new perspective that could benefit them in their further career path.
How did it all begin?
Our BlueGriders arrived earlier to welcome all the guests. As usual in the blue team, all events start with good jokes, laughter, and great energy. And with laughter, we drove away from the nervousness and promised each other that we will have fun. Oh wait, we forgot, just before the guests arrived we got great snacks and refreshments for everyone!
Now the party can begin!
Firstly, we took the opportunity to mention the beginnings of BlueGrid, to go through our success stories, and we talked about our experience in working with E-commerce, Payment processors, Security, SaaS, and Hosting industries.
Then the most interesting part came on the stage!
Presenting our teams and participants who came to share their knowledge and experience was the best indicator of all the values we cherish as a company. And when everyone gets together the atmosphere that they create is priceless. To make it more interesting, some colleagues went freestyle and announced the following coworkers, but all of them shared their working experiences, hobbies, and interests, and opened many questions for our guests.
Next? Well, the most beautiful part – connecting and chatting with people
Our guests had the opportunity to talk and meet BlueGriders from Customer Success and API teams, Security & Network engineers, CloudOps engineers, Developers, QA testers and our hiring team.
Some great stories were about our colleagues’ day-to-day activities, time management, things they are most proud of, and the most challenging thing for them at work.
In fact, the whole organization was focused on casual communication where guests were free to ask questions, research, share their ideas, and take some advice from the fields they are interested in.
Furthermore, based on their reactions, we believe that we managed to make a successful event and we are more than happy that it gave value to our guests.
In the end, we would like to thank all participants and guests from the bottom of our hearts! This was a great experience with such awesome people. We hope that we gave you the opportunity to learn through these roles, and above all that you made some new friends and possibly came across future job opportunities.
