We are looking for a passionate Technical Account Engineer to partner with our customers and internal technical teams to drive change within the cloud industry. The ideal candidate is customer-centric and has a strong technical background who can understand problems and propose solutions for our customers.
In this position, you will act as a bridge between internal technical teams, our products, and our customers, advocating for feature development, acting as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, planning for successful implementation and upgrades, and streamlining processes across all levels of the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional quality of service while leveraging your knowledge of cloud-native technologies to resolve customer questions and nurture long-term relationships.
- Producing internal and external documentation that supports an efficient resolution of common and complex requests, questions, solutions and/or problems encountered.
- Partnering with Engineering teams to advocate for the customers’ needs and work to drive innovation, feature requests, and limit customer inquiries and/or bugs and improve product experience.
- Ensuring successful onboarding of new customers, including: pre-sales configuration and consulting, initial provisioning and setup, processing customization requests, providing supporting materials for reference and direct product training.
- Developing scripts and automation procedures for frequently-performed tasks. Deploying, installing, configuring, updating, and documenting software and processes.
- Coordinating and communicating maintenance windows, software patches, and other operating system and hardware maintenance with the goal of minimal to no effect on production systems to the customer.
- Maintaining personal knowledge of cloud technologies, best practices, and systems to identify best ways to optimize operations, processes and the customer experience.
- Researching and implementing new technologies and solutions with an emphasis on server and product optimizations, and assisting in customizing and implementing them to create value for enterprise customers.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of cloud computing, cloud infrastructure and scaling.
- Knowledge of Virtualization, Containerization, OpenStack, Network Distributed Storage (Ceph), Kubernetes, Docker and system capabilities such as DNS, Load Balancing, Network Filesystems
- Expert level knowledge of Linux operating systems including a high degree of expertise in system administration, automation and scripting.
- Experience managing clustered systems, and performing updates and upgrades to live environments.
- Profound understanding of storage types, systems and network-based storage technologies.
- Intermediate experience with Python programming language.
- Experience with basic networking concepts and network troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, Heat or Puppet.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken.
