We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Sales Engineer with a deep understanding of Managed WordPress Hosting to join our growing team. In this hybrid role that blends technical expertise with sales acumen, you will be the go-to technical resource supporting our sales team during the pre-sales process, helping potential customers understand how our solutions can meet their needs and scale with their growth.
You will play an important role in building trust with prospects, mapping requirements to technical solutions, and collaborating closely with product and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert in all sales conversations related to Managed WordPress Hosting
- Partner with Account Executives to understand customer goals and craft tailored solutions that highlight platform value
- Deliver compelling product demos, technical presentations, and onboarding consultations
- Conduct detailed needs assessments, infrastructure reviews, and architectural guidance for prospects
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable hosting configurations
- Collaborate with support, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth handoffs and customer satisfaction
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs and participate in solution design discussions with enterprise-level prospects
- Stay current on the competitive landscape and proactively suggest improvements to our value proposition
- Meet or exceed individual quotas tied to sales success, upsell opportunities, and technical close support
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Pre-Sales Consultant role
- Strong background in Managed WordPress Hosting and familiarity with relevant hosting providers and tools
- Experience with server-side technologies (e.g., Nginx, Apache, PHP, MySQL), CDN, DNS, and caching layers (e.g., Varnish, Redis)
- Familiarity with common WordPress performance optimization techniques and security best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven experience working with quota-carrying teams and contributing to revenue targets
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deals and technical engagements in parallel
- Comfort working in a fully remote setup and collaborating across time zones
- Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with platforms like WP Engine, Kinsta, Cloudways, or similar
- Background in web development or agency work (especially in WordPress ecosystems)
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), CI/CD pipelines, or cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP)
- WordPress-related certifications or contributions to the WP community
